Pediatric medical imaging services
In addition to advanced imaging services, we provide family-centered, compassionate care.
What we offer at our imaging center
We offer many diagnostic imaging services for children, including:
- Computerized tomography (CT) scans
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans (with video capability for your child to watch and listen to movies or music)
- X-rays
The pediatric imaging suite is equipped with the most advanced technology available. We also use radiation protection to make sure the imaging process is as safe as possible for your child.
For most exams, we encourage you to stay in the exam room with your child to help relieve any anxiety they may have.
Sedation during imaging procedures
If your child must undergo an imaging procedure that requires them to remain perfectly still, we offer sedation services administered by a team that includes:
- Anesthesiologists
- Child life specialists
- Nurse anesthetists
- Pediatric intensivists
- Pediatric nurses
- Pediatric respiratory therapists
Sedation services are available Monday through Friday for radiology procedures, hematology and oncology procedures, muscular injections and other invasive procedures.
If your child develops a cough, cold, fever, congestion, vomiting, wheezing or diarrhea two days before their scheduled procedure, or to schedule an appointment or to speak to a pediatric sedation specialist, call (912) 350-7460.
